Midcoast Maine’s Premier Plein Air Art Auction

The Kelpie Gallery and Lewis Conservation Services,LLC  in South Thomaston will host 30 juried artists to paint the ‘Weskeag and Georges River area. Auction proceeds to benefit the Georges River Land Trust as well as the participating artists.

The wet paint auction fundraiser follows on the Sunday of the Maine Boats, Homes and Harbors Show.

What is Wet Paint on the ‘Weskeag!?

Participating artists will create a work of art en plein air along the ‘Weskeag and Georges River, and bring their piece to The Kelpie Gallery where we will all enjoy a cocktail reception preview beginning at 4pm followed by a live auction with dueling auctioneers Bruce Gamage and Kaja Vellieux starting at 5pm.

Who is the Georges River Land Trust?

The Georges River Land Trust's mission is to conserve the ecosystems and traditional heritage of the Georges River watershed region through permanent land protection, stewardship, education, and outdoor experiences. 

The Kelpie Gallery and Lewis Conservation Services,LLC are proud to support the GRLT in its mission, as well as artists and the land so many artists consider their muse.
